Our products run on data. We ingest data from hundreds of sources so that we can analyze it, surface the most important information, and present it in beautiful and easy-to-use visualizations.

We're looking for a US-based technical product manager to manage our data services and design new product offerings as we expand geographically.

About the job

This role will focus on continuously improving and expanding our data integrations and data quality processes. We pull data from a large number of sources, ranging from APIs to utility websites.

You will work with the sales and the customer success teams to understand customer needs and translate them into product initiatives to support the company’s growth. And you will work most closely with engineering to build world-class products that deliver on Gridium’s mission of decarbonizing the built environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Understanding the data sources available in new markets to help map out Gridium’s geographic expansion.
• Writing detailed and clear specifications that engineers can use to plan out and implement our technical solutions.
• Supporting the sales and customer success team by developing and communicating a long-term vision for Gridium’s data services.
• Using a metrics-based approach to continuously improve data quality in the Gridium platform.
• Managing a product backlog and taking part daily in the Agile process that Gridium uses to develop software.

Requirements

Ideal candidates will meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor or Masters in engineering.
• An aptitude for data analysis and an eye for detail.
• 3+ years of experience leading the development of and launching software products.
• Strong communication skills, particularly in written communication.
• A desire to work in a small, highly collaborative team environment in which you will be given a lot of responsibility and support from day one.
• Must currently reside in the United States and have the legal right to work in the United States.

You do not have to have prior experience in energy or buildings, although any such experience may be a plus.
